checking by vin

hi sorry to sound a bit thick but someone mentioned [ad210358] this morning about checking the vin to find out if the FL2 that i was interested in was fitting with a dpf or not how to you do that

From memory, if the eighth digit of your vin no. is "B", there is no DPF fitted. John

John has it spot on.

Eighth Digit.
A = Petrol
B = Diesel
C = Diesel with DPF

This ofcourse depends on the year of vehicle.. Wink

My VIN has a 'D' for the 8th digit so i was confused... until i checked link and saw that D is for Diesel (High Power) with no DPF (E has the DPF).

Op was looking for Pre MY11 Wink
All UK Spec vehicles from MY11 would have a DPF as standard.

Look at his previous posts, he mentions in this thread the FL 2 "He was interested in" Rolling Eyes
A quick look shows he was looking at Pre MY11.
