Are the puddle lamps the ones in the mirror, or/and the ones under the doors?

Are they both the same design?

At a guess I would say they are both puddle lamps? The mirror ones should be for when you go to the fl2 and the ones under the door for when you pull up somewhere and open the door, so you can light up what your going to stand in/on

If you have the puddle lamps its worth upgrading the bulbs to leds, makes a massive difference I used osram leds in my mine but people fit all different ones

I know Dan, I changed to LED's in the other car, so I will be doing that as soon as I get

this is the first car I've ever had with them, and they are quite handy

Never thought of making them LED, I'll need to look into that. Don't suppose you have the bulb type needed to fit Osram handy?

These are very good from Advance Factors, have them in my Number Plate and Puddle Lamps.

So far, I have changed the front sidelights, numberplate lights, boot courtesy light. I have yet to do the puddle

what models were fitted with puddle lamps/wing mirror lamps ?

mine is a 2008 GS spec so will the wiring be in place so I just have to remove a blanking plate and insert a bulb unit ?

It's possible the wiring may be in place but not garanteed, it seems to be hit and miss whether you strike lucky from what others have said.
I can't recall anyone finding the puddle light wiring, footwell wiring seems to be found quite often.

Just noticed this thread, we have a 60 and an 11 reg (facelift) FL2 and noticed that the facelift version doesn't have them whilst the earlier one did (both GS spec)

My HSE had both sets of puddle lamps. My XS only has them in the mirrors. Not delved yet, but
I would think it should be possible to run a wire from mirror to the lower one...................must try
that"

Armrests, Mud flaps, front and rear
Heated front screen
leather steering wheel
Sat nav.

My 07 XS has both puddle lights, so like said above maybe they did away with one on newer models
