Can anyone recommend a company to retrim my GS seats in black leather. Nothing fancy - just want to replace my cloth seats with leather. Any help would be appreciated. I understand several people have recommended Seat Surgeons but they are too far away from me.

Have a look at Monsoon land Rover on the A22 at Lower Dicker.
They have another part of their business also called Monsoon where they repair all makes of tonneau covers, but the Monsoon Land Rover part of their business specialises in interior retrimming. Haven't used them myself but worth a browse of their webpage.

Hi The Valeter, I am looking at getting the drivers & passengers side base seats done as they've started to crack and the drivers now has a slight tear so this needs to be addressed.

Do you have contact details of the local trimmer?

Contacted Monsoon and although they supposedly do retrims, they were not very enthusiastic about retrimming my seats and then when they discovered my seats had side airbags they declined and said they dont touch anything with airbags. Looks like they focus more on old vehicles and soft tops. Still thanks for the tip.

Still searching, so I'll try contacting some of the others mentioned.

Trimming Centre in Lewes were recommended by my local LR dealer Caffyns, but at £1200 + VAT just for front seats seemed high!!! Seems like they would prefer RR customers rather than FL2's.

Anything related to Caffyns costs more, which is why I drive an hour to Harwoods when I buy new cars. I have literally saved thousands !. Good luck  _________________

Have you called them? They can arrange collection of your seats for fitting, for a Freelander 2 £714 - front & rear, pay a deposit, they make them, arrange a date they fit them!

Have been in touch but apart from being too far away, they quoted me a lot more than £714. Considering a complete set from a late FL2 from breakers.

i asked the seatsurgeons to quote on re-covering the DVD headrest on my FL2, spoke on phone and it was as if it would be too much hassle to help, he asked for photos, sent them and followed up and heard nothing back from him
