Been tempted to post that there is a rumour it could snow next week, but I knew what would happen if I did. More chance in the north than the south I think.

Depends where the low pressure system tracks that is due on Monday night into Tuesday. It is coming in from the north west and out towards the south east and anywhere north of its track should see snow and perhaps significant snow.

Hope it doesn't snow as the fl2 is being repaired next week. Last time it snowed my power steering went so I'm hoping for warmth. But then again snow is Better than any more rain, I had to drive through water deeper than the wheels for the school run yesterday, I almost pooped in my shreddies.

The problem with weather reporting is that they cater for the hard of thinking generation that seems to be coming along.
The slightest hint of snow and everyone is up in arms, "roads have not been gritted" "where are the gritters" " I was stuck this morning for 2 hours and it's only a 2 mile journey"

... and there lies the problem, we have a generation that are seemingly unable to comprehend common sense, everything has to be done for them, they are totally incapable and clueless, and yet bleat vociferously on social media about their ails.

Interestingly Taz, back in the day when I had the FL2, I encountered a bloke trying to get up a steep hill on a pretty busy housing estate that wasn't gritted.

He was driving a BMW 1 series on low profile sports tyres He had slid sideways and blocked the road. He would have made better progress on a pogo stick. I had to mount the kerb on one side in order to get past him.

Again, why not think about how rubbish the car is in snow and walk, get a lift, catch a bus or stay at home instead?
