Been tempted to post that there is a rumour it could snow next week, but I knew what would happen if I did. More chance in the north than the south I think. |

Depends where the low pressure system tracks that is due on Monday night into Tuesday. It is coming in from the north west and out towards the south east and anywhere north of its track should see snow and perhaps significant snow.

Ian Ferguson at the met office tweeted this: A mixed bag of EC clusters.... any pronouncements of a secure and swift return to 'mild' conditions need to be taken with pinch of salt. Meanwhile, nearer-term focus needs to be on the late Sat-Sun high WBPT plume curving atop the low running off down into Biscay. *Could* get interesting on N flank of this feature, but wide spread in PPN envelope (e.g. MOGREPS has this anywhere from N France to S Midlands!!).... Just emerging from weather people on twitter that next week has changed! No Easterly winds and no snow bombs. Maybe February? Black MY2013 SD4 GS Auto, Wood Company Armrest, Freel2 sticker.

Big downgrades from the forecast models. My money is safe unfortunately. |

The problem with weather reporting is that they cater for the hard of thinking generation that seems to be coming along.

Interestingly Taz, back in the day when I had the FL2, I encountered a bloke trying to get up a steep hill on a pretty busy housing estate that wasn't gritted.
