Bumper needs to come off. It will be a real bodge if you mask it off.

Got my 3 spars (only) done at my local LR dealership and bumper didn't come off for that, and they did an excellent job.

I fitted this grill to mine a 2007 car with a 2012 bumper,my slats aren't gloss though.

The spars (or slats) are the long honeycomb bits on the centre grill.
