You could use some heat from the top side or give it a smack with a hammer a few times to brake the rust/seal

When I first removed mine they were very tight even though the dealer said they had serviced it 2 months earlier.A 2ft bar on the breaker bar sorted it out with a 6 sided socket. |

I've always used a 3/8" drive impact gun on mine and they've been off three times in the last year so still loose. Mind you, they were tight the first time so I greased the threads when refitting. |

Thanks guys for all the assistance, as per the other post the engine shield has now left the freelander! Good news is no tapping required just need two new bolts which were ground off and hopefully I can reuse the fold over clips, but I will be calling Duckworths in the morning anyway. |

More like they didn't do the service,in those 2 months I covered less than 150 miles and the oil and filter was filthy dirty it certainly hadn't covered 150 miles. |
