Romania 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Izmir Blue
engine overheating

While on holiday we were stuck in a trafic non moving jam for over 3 hours. As there where abt 36 degrees outside I had to keep the engine running to keep the A/C on for my almost two year old sun not to overheat. The pleasant surprise was that at no time did the engine temp get over the middle of the white line which sort of surprised me as I expected the engine to overheat at some time. When i was at Tong 4X4 day, I popped out of my car watching the D3 and RRS going up and down suicide hill and about 30-40 min later i realised i hadn't switched the car engine off Embarassed

With the roof and both front windows open, aircon on its coldest setting, the car was lovely and cool when i went to switch it off and I too noticed the temp gauge hadn't moved either

I was quite impressed too Very Happy Thumbs Up Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

personally I would not expect any car to overheat, unless there was a problem with it...or is that what you meant because its a land rover... Wink Phil
