2014 Freelander 2 SD4 XS Auto Fuji White

Cracked headlamp lens?

Having switched from a 2008 TD4 GS to a 2014 SD4 XS at the begining of July, today I noticed that both projector headlamp lens appear cracked in the same place....

The lens have what appears to be a crack across the bottom of both lens in a arc with a couple of notches, in the same place.

Is this a fault or normal?

They certainly look cracked
Just had a look at mine and they don't appear to be cracked, there are a couple of notches at the bottom though, it's a little dark to get a picture, interesting they are both the same.
Maybe you will see it more with the lights on, obviously be careful not to look directly into them

Mine don't look like that. I'd go back to the dealer and see what he other cars of that age look like. It seems odd that both appear to be "cracked". GONE - '07 TD4 GS manual Zermatt Silver

Ok I lied yesterday checked mine today again and yes they appear to have a semi circle crack which looks identical and have notches, they appear to be

part of the light however ....

Checked the Evoque also and it has similar crack like appearances on both sides which are identical but differ from the freely....

Definitely something wrong with one of yours as it appears to have a chimney in it!

Spoke to the dealer today and the 2015 Freelander they have in the showroom also has the 'arcs' in the bottom of both lamp units - so starting to think that it's part of the design...

Also the lines are visible when the lights are on and appear very uniform on both sides.
