Rovertune in Reading

Found a very good Independent last week to carry out the first service on my FL2.
Was advised by friends to go to Rovertune in Reading, as they have had their Range Rover serviced by them for 3 years and were very pleased with the quality of service provided. Must admit Rovertune lived up to expectations, were very friendly, courteous and happy to show me around. Not only that, their labour rate is substantially lower than my local Independent Land Rover Specialist. I have no complaints and would highly recommend them, which I am starting with my first post on the forum.

Is it only me who always finds it a little suspect when a new members first post is recommending an indie LR garage Laughing

Yep now you mention it, although I've heard of Rovertune but never used them so it's useful from my point of view even if it's biased! 2008 FL2 TD4 XS Zermatt Silver, Manual

NO

I for one would not entrust any of my vehicles on the basis of a "strangers" comments (well intentioned or not) to a garage that is unknown to any of the broader and well established FL2 congregation. Let us pray that Preacher DexterM truly does have glad tidings within his sermon.

I seem to have raised suspicion with my comments. To answer others, my comments are genuine and not for free advertising as has been suggested.
I have not had reason to use the forum before as I have never really had anything to complain or sing about, or had problems with any of my previous Freelanders (have I been lucky?). I have used Main Dealers and my Local Specialist in the past and on average they have been ok. But on this occassion I had a recommendation and when I found out that I could save money I decided to go elsewhere for a change. I am so far glad that I did, hence the reason for saying so.
Obviously, everyone is entitled to their opinion, and this is respected, but really they should be based upon fact. Members should post their own experiences of a company, whether they be good or bad.

Thank you for reply Dex Thumbs Up

If you can see it from the forum owners side of the fence, we often, across the forums have people joining purely for self promoting basis and this is done by post like yours i.e new user, only just joined sing praise, or they just post the odd Thumbs Up or thats great and their signature is covered with web-links to their businesses.

We know this is Dealership feed back, and I gave you benefit of the doubt and i'm sure you have had good service by RT. though normally this section is used by member, who have had bad service elsewhere and then find the good ones and let others know, they have previously joined in the forum, fixing faults, saying how good their car is etc

That's OK npinks, I fully understand and see both sides. Rest assured, if in the future when servicng time comes around I do not get satisfactory service from RT then you will be the first to know.

Hi all. It’s been a while since I have posted anything on here but I had my FL2 into Rovertune last week to fix the infamous erratic fuel gauge problem. I really can’t recommend them enough! Great service at a fraction of a main dealer price (Harwood’s Basingstoke wanted to charge approximately £100 for computer diagnostics before they even attempted to fix anything!).
