My car= 1 previous elderley owner,46k miles,practically unmarked inside and out,side steps,mudflaps,LR dog guard and boot liner,FSH,privacy glass,full size spare,side body mouldings,LR mats,upgraded headlamps, great car drives like new, Dealer offered £12,500 to 13k max, or is this correct  2014 Audi A4 Avant - Dont like it !

Not that far off what I'd expect.
You could try putting it into Webuyanycar or similar and see what they come up with but bear in mind they'll try and reduce the initial price for each and every blemish they can find.

I have had a CAP valuation done, Trade in clean £13,250 - £14,150.
Trade in average £12,400 - £13,200.
Trade in below £11,500 - £12,250.

CAP Dealer retail is £16.150 - £17,650.
Mercedes offerded me £13,500 towards a 25k C Class estate.

had a test drive in the RRS, nice car but to bloody big! If I do decide to sell my FL2 I will advertise it on the forum first. I have just spent £1,500 on its 6th service and had a new steering rack and pas pump fitted,brake fluid was also changed.

I have an open case with LR Customer services regarding my PAS rack and pump, so far they have kindly contributed £450, this however is an on-going issue with LR, I will pass on my findings and final result to you all soon. 2014 Audi A4 Avant - Dont like it !

If the car is unmarked as you described low miles & is not giving you any problems, as it's a HSE (very nice spec) keep the car & spend the money on nice holidays & the family & tell Stratstones to go & whistle

my old 2011MY bali blue in SD4 HSE spec is currently up for sale at £22K so i'm guessing dealer would have paid no more than £17K - 18K for it, in my eyes that offer they made you isn't bad. With the add-ons you have got I would take them off and sell them privately unless you can sell the whole car privately as any potential buyer would see them as a bonus and may pay slightly more than the norm to have them on a FL2.

Looking at a RRS SE on sale for £26989 on ebay.I did a webuyanycar quote and it came out at £15445! Stornaway grey SE auto with 18" alloys

That price does sound about right. When I sold my 56 plate HSE TD4 with 64000 miles on it in November last year, I was offered £9800 in PX.

That was purely because of its age, the dealer network I was talking to had a policy of sending to auction any car over 6 years old, so the price reflected this.

But I got £13750 private, but mine was one of the best examples around.

Bare in mind, that most LR dealers work in a £3000 gross margin, so if your dealer offered £12500, they would be looking to put in on the forecourt for approx £15500.

I agree with the figures you have quoted, especially the 3k gross margin.LR want to buy cars at the lowest value and sell them at the highest value.

Don't forget, it is not just about condition with Land Rovers, you need to make them stand out from the crowd.
