Bossy sat nav

I have turned off the sound on the satnav on my 2007 HSE i6 BUT she frequently interrupts me, and usually long after the event, to tell me that "there is slow traffic ahead". Is there something I'm missing? Confused Confused the rest of the ICE is easy to program/ adjust and happily "talks" to my iPhone ... LJ & Lara the i6

I had this the other day, think she thought I had not reached my destination, went into route options and hit cancel guidance then yes and that shut her up, wish it was so simple with Mrs MR. FL2 SD4 Metropolis Auto Santorini Black / ivory completely stock.

Hi Lady Jane and MidlandRover,

I have been known to be wrong in the past! However, I think the 'slow traffic ahead' and similar interruptions are driven by the Traffic Master signals that are received by the radio/satnav system. I seem to remember my 07 SE getting that from Classic FM somewhere in its deepest thoughts. 2007 SE Manual : Gone and missed but 2013 HSE Lux is better!
Series IIa : Gone but hopefully still alive.

That may very we'll be but what bugged me was I had just driven through 20 miles of works on the M1 with 50 limit but only got the messages when I was cruising down the A38.
Though as soon as I cancelled guidance the messages stopped even though I hadn't been using GPS that day.
Funny things Land Rovers. FL2 SD4 Metropolis Auto Santorini Black / ivory completely stock.

I remember that I had a company car, in the dim and distant past, that was fitted with Traffic Master but not a satnav. It, without fail, used to announce hold-ups on the motorway just after you had passed the last exit that would have avoided it. 2007 SE Manual : Gone and missed but 2013 HSE Lux is better!

Yes, I had a Vauxhall Vectra in the late 90's that did exactly that! Utterly useless!! Foraging near Gaydon....
