I have to say it was a great day, red hot in the Sun and nice and cool in the woods

I already knew the car could do most things but been in your own car doing this is something else

I can't wait for the next one to come along Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

great shots there Chris (BTW Good to meet you and put a face to the name)

I think the full 500mm wading depth is been used on the FL2 Cool

The Disco from above is a excellent photo, with the arched bow wave breaking the stillness of the pond Thumbs Up Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Yes good to meet you too Nick, was delighted some of the Freel2 gang could come along.

I've certainly got a fair few shots of your vehicle, I'll get them all up in due course (or e-mail you the high-res shots of yours) but here are a couple more for now.

500mm .... and the rest ... thats way over 500 .... I was just a bit wary of that because of what happened to Ryan last time out .... but now I've seen the pictures I'll be more adventurous in the future ....

Avtur

I was very wary too, watched all the D3 go through, the only section i was thinking was a little deep was the last part of the crossing, but i could remember the "Insider" post about wading depth

I can tell you that Land rover have tested and signed off the Freelander to 500mm , although it will do 600mm if you keep, going ! great un here in the middle of warwickshire today Very Happy

But i had a 900mm figure in my head Embarassed

Unless it has less water in the pond i wouldn't go through again, once was enough for me

Hills, mud the risk of a slight ding here or there is enough, but the risk of a new engine coming out of next months pay cheque is a little too high.

Apart from a few scratches on the bottom of the side protection tubes i have go no other marks, not even on the alloys Thumbs Up

Though i think all the balencing weights have disappeared Very Happy which i can live with the £20 to have my wheel redone Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I took my Rangie up a 43 degree incline, that turns into almost 45 degrees as the left front wheel lifts. The traction is amazing!
