Anyone roasting their own? What do you use? Where do you get your beans?

I used to be until on a whim I decided to try my hand at roasting on the stove... after that I can never go back.
It's a good way to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon - throw some beans in the tumbler (I've upgraded my roasting), and every 15 minutes swap them with another half pound.

DeLonghi ESAM6700 all the way for me.....and I'm a Tea drinker in the main! Foraging near Gaydon....

Philips Saeco HD8838 for my daily latte before work, a pour-over when at work, and a siphon during the weekends when I can take my time and get sciencey with it.

see latte is were all the trouble starts just make a coffee then add a splash of milk, no call for a weak flavoured milk drink,

espresso after dinner too for the digestion, with a drop of grog in at the weekend, brandy or amaretto usually At work

Those, sir, are fighting words.

I DETEST any kind of Starbucks flavored espresso drink. It's a dessert at that point, a warm milk-shake. But a perfectly pulled pair of shots, well-steamed milk, and a spoonful of froth to cap it? No... that is a work of art (but if you draw flowers or hearts or something in that foam, I will bite you in the face).

I have actually been playing around with some espresso blends, trying to find something herbaceous, but not flowery, to compliment a dash of absinthe added to the shot.

"Realcoffeeco" Bristol do a good price on green or roasted beans.
Hasbean are also good but very expensive. I put them in the Aga.
Good luck, once you get a good combination of timing to heat you will never want pre roast again
