I have one which I keep in the car. It is about the size of a fat matchbox, so when plugged in, it is fairly unobtrusive. No leads or anything.

It only seems to work with their dedicated app, but others out there are cheaper and can work with a range of apps providing they meet certain industry standards. These escape me right now.

It reads fault codes, other general info such as temps and revs from the ECU and can do performance data too. Trouble is you can't play with it when driving so is best as a passenger. It can be left in all the time, but I found it was warm when I got in the car so must be live all the time and a potential drain on the battery.

Useful at first, could be extremely useful in the event of a fault but a bit of toy otherwise.

I have one as well. I bought it originally because of my issues with the DPF filter and the dreaded low performance mode. However I haven't really used it much since the last ECU update seems to have solved my DFP issues (touch wood)

I have a wifi OBDII reader which I bought of eBay for a few quid and downloaded an app on my ipad called obd fusion for about £7 works well it gives all the reading and reports I need. And it works on our other cars It cleared the engine management light off the civic type R and all for around a tenner

Sorry I have to apologise to all it was a long day yesterday I know I said around a £10 but it should have been around £20 the OBDII reader was £14.50 and the software was £7.
