United Kingdom 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Zermatt Silver
Colour Coded Door Handles

Hi,

Looking to replacing my door handles to zermatt silver. I was going to order the skins but found out my handles are the one piece handles so they won't fit Sad , and I don't want the cheaper covers.

I found these http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-GRID008204 but I'm not sure whether they are the full handles or just the clip on "Skins". Confused

Has anyone ordered these or similar the part code is LR006946, and can tell me whether they are the full handles. Only other option is to pay local dealer ship £275 + VAT to paint my black ones?

Thanks in Advance.

Those Rimmer ones look to be the full handle set, not skins. Just click on the part number, you will see an enlarged picture.

Ok I've now fitted my door handles I'll post pics nxt week as I lost my phone in sainsburys last week.

The rear handles went on a treat no problems; However when I put the drivers side handle on I must have been a bit over confident and managed to break the clip on the handle Big Cry . I did however manage to complete the swap by using the ckip off the old handle and somehow it fitted. I did the same with passenger side as well doh but. All I can say is be careful when sliding the handles back into place.

If anyone has a couple of two piece black handles I be interested in using them to try and do the front doors again. I also replaced the side repeaters from orange to smoke which blend in really well. Will post picks in next couple of days.

Next job is side steps.

Thanks Max, look forward to seeing the pics, sounds like the clips were the main issue then?

Cheers,

Rich
