Wind deflectors

I ordered a set of Team Heko wind deflectors from eBay a few days ago. I have read some negative comments about them on this forum, but the posts were a few years old and I thought that at under £30 a set (front and rears) it was worth a shot. They arrived yesterday and I fitted them this morning in about 10 minutes. The quality is first-class, and the fit was perfect, so I am extremely happy with them.
I think they look very discreet, and they match the black paintwork extremely well.
I have no affiliation with the supplier or manufacturer, I'm just a happy customer!

They look a lot better than the crap I bought a while back!! Which seller was this?

The ones I had were quite poorly made, with sharp edges. They also sent the windows down when putting the window up as they were a VERY tight fit. 2013 FL2 - Black Edition Auto

I haven't been on a fast drive yet, so can't comment on how they perform! Definitely no sharp edges and no problems with shutting the windows. On the fronts, the windows close absolutely normally, although on the backs you can just hear a very slight scrape on the top half inch - not enough to worry the windows though.

I have to assume that any quality control issues in the early days have now been sorted out. I just bought the cheapest ones (a seller called "Luxgrill").

I had a pair of these on an Astra VXR a couple of years ago and they were a great fit

Do the FL ones just push into the gaps (the astra ones had 1 or 2 clips as well) or do they need double sided tape as well as some others do?

I bought some just after you, but have only just got round to opening them today.

All 4 are badly broken, so I'm hoping the seller is easy to deal with. Steve

Now you come to mention it, mine weren't packed very well - no extra bubble wrap or anything. Just the luck of the draw if you have a gentle postperson. There shouldn't be a problem getting them replaced - eBay are very strict about such things.

wind deflectors

Hi Tim _Roberts
I have the got the same make wind deflectors on my freelander 2 they have been on the car about three years now and they still look good . I bought them off ebay and they came from abroad not sure who the seller was but the packaging was not good just a bit of bubble wrap and put in a box with nothing to stop them sliding about in the box they arrived very quickly but unfortunatly one of the front deflectors was broken and after contacting the seller who supplied me with an email address to send pictures of the damaged part so they could claim from the courier company and it was all sorted in a couple of days . They have been a good buy as i used to get a buffeting sound and as i suffer with ear trouble it wasn`t good but after fitting the deflectors problem sorted.
Thanks

Yep - no problem at all.

I emailed pics of the damaged parts and the tracking number, and they offered me a full refund or replacement.

New set on the way, and no need to return the damaged parts. Steve
