United Kingdom 2010 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Stornoway Grey

Didn't you know, we no longer pay "Road Tax" as it does not pay for roads. We now pay "Vehicle Excise Duty" and the cash drops in the "general use" coffers. Rolling Eyes 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)

Check it very thoroughly and be prepared to walk away, also check the warranty, there was one recently that the warranty only covered the engine and gearbox, nothing else. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

Will do - i'm a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to cars so they have to be at least 95% spot on with the potential to improve with a bit of polish Very Happy
The garage says the car is totally origional except for the front bumper which they resprayed due to a scuff and chips - this isn't a problem as i'd want to facelift it anyway.
I've made a check list for the test drive to cover
4wd working - check if it'll wheelspin
diff whine
clutch slip

also to check for
all door rubbers intact
rear door lock/ unlock
water in footwells - air-con leak
water in rear - brake light leaking

finger crossed Thumbs Up

Check the VIN if the eighth letter is "C" it has a DPF.

Dealer sent me the vin which is 1 digit short? the 8th character is a number not a letter - should it be a letter even if not "C"

Well checking that link even the year doesn't match - think they've given the engine number? - starts DZ58 - 16 digits in total?

Well drove 80 miles to look at it today, very few chips/ light scratches (which will polish out), test drove it to find -
no diff noises
no other drivetrain noises
no rattles/ creaks

so what happened? - well i bought it Thumbs Up

Noticed the wheelarch rubbers all missing, the dealer had removed them as they looked deformed so he's going to fit new ones
Not the fastest motor but on the way to view it i think i got zapped at 80mph on the motorway by a van on a mound Big Cry bloody great start that was - well the FL will slow me down i guess?

Should be picking it up next saturday after it's been MOTd, serviced, plate transfered (that'll take a few weeks) and revalated.
Car comes with a 3 month standard warranty but he offered an extra 12 months which covers electrical/ mechanical/ etc for an extra 」300 so think i'll be having that as well for piece of mind and it's cheaper than the aftermarket ones.

Measured garage door agin and at its lowest point it's 1830mm - not sure if FL will fit under with roof/ cross bars fitted?

They look good in black, pity it shows the swirls - this is why i wouldn't have another black car as they take more effort to keep them looking good.
There is a seller listing rear spoilers on ebay ready painted in black - not sure if it's the same shade as yours - santori?
Just ordered a set of sidesteps to start the modding Thumbs Up
