Is it me but when i plug my iPod in the Aux jack it will allow me to play/listen
to the iPod but is not charging it at the same time???.

It won't charge it, no. Nor will you see the track listings on the centre screen, or have steering wheel track selection. For that, you need a proper USB connection (MY2013) Foraging near Gaydon....
