I tried to use Autoglym tyre spray and I won't be buying it again. More gets on the wheel that the tyre.

I never spray anything directly on to a tyre, unless its when I'm washing and scrubbing the tyres for a fresh coat Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Thanks Npinks. I'm new to cleaning the car properly. Spent all afternoon cleaning and shampooing the carpets and conditioning the seats. Gave it a wash on Monday but it was too hot and made a few watermarks. But I will give it another wash next week before I set off for Spain.

It's just you. The trick with the AG spray is to move the bottle as you are pulling the trigger... A bit of practice and you'll have a 19" wheel adequately covered in three to four trigger pulls.

At the other end of the scale, I found that TurtleWax Extreme Tyre Gel on a bit of old sponge equally as impressive....not sure if it's available any more though..? Foraging near Gaydon....
