9th July and I'm thinking snow chains

Laughing

It's true, in a moment of boredom I found some Michelin Easy Grip X12 chains for sale on Amazon Germany for £96 (€106) free delivery which seems to be the best price around so I just ordered a set for the splendid August weather we are likely to get.
In case anyone is wondering - standard snow chains are only Ok on 16" wheels , if you have 17" or above you may get sucked into buying Landrover's own £500+ system but I have read that these Michelin Easy Grips work well on our Freelanders so while there is no demand I have taken advantage of the lower price. Bring on the snow!!! Wink

Link here if anyone wants to follow my lead.

I'd love to see you fit that size on any Landrover wheels. Please post the video of your efforts on Youtube so we can all have a good laugh Wink

WARNING
Be careful if you order the ones in Mudslingers link - they are not the right size for a Freelander. You need the X12 size for Freelander 235/65R17 wheels.

Looks like the X12 size fits both 235/65R17 and 235/70R16, so mudslingers link is OK. Definitely same model number, and cheap as chips...

I'd still prefer a good set of winter tyres, no where yet have I not been able to get with the Vredesteins rather than faff about putting chains on plus the winter tyres are not just for snow. But each to their own, we are all different. Thumbs Up p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior
