i spend a hour or so, scraping out the gaps on the block paving as they attract moss and other small weeds/grasses

Is there a weed killer that can be put down, that does not kill lawns as the block paving butts up against it and the run off will get on the lawn

i though maybe one that can be mixed with the dry kiln sand or watering can on and soak in

Seal the block paving Nick. Use a sealant that also seals the sand. I did mine a few months back and it looks great.

I will try some verdone i use Resolva 24h in the red, blue and green (lawn) bottles, but they are a hand trigger and my block paving is huge for a hand trigger and the red and blue kills my lawn and the green Lawn safe one is a bit pants

Which Verdone none staining? i have tried something before and it left white residue

I'll need to pressure wash it first, the patio clear stuff that you spray on and leave didn't do anything

Ridges i've got four dips, one for each wheel, its a sloping drive but no handbrake needed, I just have to drive on and it sort of docks. Block paving is fine if its done correctly  p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

mine are just were the front wheels are (drive in forwards) and i do use my handbrake as its quite steep

still its a 4x4 so if it gets worse i can always use mud and ruts, won't get it relaid, if anything I'll lift it and bed it it myself and then relay, did part of my FIL and his is ok still

Verdone BUT not by hose or watering can but hand spray. Done both ways and by hand spray ( £3 at asda ) seems to be the most effective.

If yours is really bad like mine you may want to give it a couple of go's....

mcpa is a hormone weed killer, it makes the weed effectively grow itself to death, so it needs good growing weather for it to work fully. its contact only so a one off, with no residual effects to kill further weeds.

apply with a fully mounted 24 meter crop sprayer, set on around 3 bars pressure, drive at 10 kph unless you have an e-tronic auto pressure sprayer, if so drive at 6- 12 kph depending on conditions, water rate of 150 l/ hectare.

before you start contact city and guilds as you will need both the PA1and PA2 training certificates.

then join up at nroso and be sure to collect at least 10 cpd points a year by attending various training events

Verdone extra lawn safe bought, and a 5 litre watering can, but might use my 10L pressure sprayer to spray down the gaps instead of all over

Spent the last 2.5 hours jet washing half the rear block paving and it's clean and weed free, so once dry it's kiln dried sand and a brush, then will weed killer it and then seal it

Don't add the sand until you are ready to seal though, they recommend only sanding a day before. If you get the sealant that seals the sand too it's much easier to clean in the future.

Thought about adding the sand then weed killer as it would mix, then seal the mixture in as its the small seed that get in the grooves (block paving grooves Doc ) Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis
