Just a quick question?

Having just washed my new Freelander for the very first time after buying it, I noticed that the Wheel centre caps differ on either side of the car. The offside has the alluminium with small green Landrover oval, while the drivers side sports a chrome and large black and silver Landrover oval. Amazed myself that we never noticed this, but hey ho, it happened. The dealer has sent me 2 new Black and silver centres to match those already on the drivers side, but my question is

Do they simply pop off or is there a particular way to take the odd ones out?

I don't want to break the existing centres or scuff the wheel. Joanne

They aren't held on by much just four plastic clips, a table knife should be enough to help prize them out, just be mindful of your alloy. I don't think it will take much force.  21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

You will see on the new ones the dealer as sent you there are 6 lugs that hold them in place BETTER looking half of the famous Twinlanders

Best really to remove the wheel and knock them out from the back as they would at the tyre fitting places, saves having to be careful trying to prise them out with a knife and damaging the wheel lacquer.
You can then also clean the rear insides of the wheels whilst they are off, and polish up the brake calipers and struts whilst youre at it, kill 3 birds with one stone?

That's sounds like a good mornings work - but I agree
Did mine this way -------- drill a 6mm hole in the center and with a Allen key slotted in the hole pull em off

Wheels off is by far the simplest way. A little bit of Vaseline helps to protect the alloy.

I found myself surprisingly skillful with Vaseline  21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200
