I will eventually have to replace the rear and front bumpers of my MY08 Freelander 2 (too much careless driving, parking and towing).
Does anybody know if I could replace the front bumper/grill with the bumper and grill of the MY11 Freelander?
That would make the car not only "younger" but really much better looking, in my opinion.

Yes, it is possible to upgrade the bumpers. A few members have done this.

So, now I can have the repair shop order the newer front bumper instead of the original.
If questioned, I can refer to the kind members of freel2.com.

Still some points just to be sure:
a. I need to order the SD4 bumper to have a silver grill?
b. In addition to the SD4/TD4 versions, is there a petrol version at all (since mine is the 3.2 i6)?
c. Will the plastic around the two silver grill bars be painted body color, or some nice gray or black?
d. Obviously I need to order a version with (places for) the sensors?

I will leave the rest of the car original - mine has already xenon lights.

rcautomotive2010 On eBay, let him know what the spec your looking for

The bumpers he sells are all new with minor scratches (kick backs from land rover)
But if you need to get it re-sprayed it won't matter
