Has anyone had the Premium Pack fitted to a HSE Freelander 2 yet? Is it worth the cost?[/b]

2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Sumatra Black

FAZ Ive got an HSE and it looks the business. as you know it has all the extras anyway, fully loaded, the only think i added was metallic paint.

if i did it all again (and i will be soon) i would add privacy glass.

doesnt need much else. '07 FL2 TD4 HSE Manual Sumatra Black
No more extras - who needs them when its fully loaded?!

England 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Stornoway Grey

I have an HSE on order in stornoway with the premium pack also colour matching mirror caps and privacy glass.
I saw one in a showroom and it looked so much better without the black plastic surrounds. The 19" wheels really set it off.IMO much better than the sports body kit,a bit boy racer for me.
Delivery end of March !!!!!

My HSE has extras, driving lamps, roof rails, rear monitors. When I bought my car the "premium pack" was not avilable otherwish I would have gone with it. I was a FL2 with the rear spoiler and think, personal view, that it looks much better than the standard vehicle, so worth it just for that.

I have ordered the HSE with the Body Styling Pack rather than the Premium Pack, £1800 for colour coded bottom sills, bigger wheels and perforated seats seemed expensive when for about £500 less you can have a great looking bodykit with spoiler and a much better front grille, also added body coloured wing mirrors and privacy glass.

Ordered Rimini Red, saw one in Wales in red with the body kit and it looked stunning! Car is due Mid April.

Hi to all.

Thought I'd join this forum as I've just taken delivery of a FL2 HSE (Complete with Premium Pack)
Good a place as any to share and discuss problems and experiences etc.

So as a reletively fresh newbie to the Landrover scene, any tips on what to watch out for with the FL2?
I've no plans to take it off-roading as its my daily vehicle.

Thanks in advance.

Mark

Hi Mark

Welcome to the forum, always good to have another person to give their 2 pence worth in a discussion

Nothing wrong with keeping the car on the road, greenlanes are roads (just not surfaced Rolling with laughter )

I presume the HSE is a TD4 model, so not much to look out for apart from the right pump on the forecourt Laughing Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

England 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Sumatra Black

Hi all, is it the HSE the only model that dips the rear view door mirrors when parking in reverse, I have an SE and it does not operate. Secondly, noticed that when the from wipers are operating that when reversing the rear wiper operates. I know, I should read the handbook, but if anyone knows about door mirrors let me know.

The mirrors are a luxury of the HSE only

I found them a nuisance on courtasy cars thjat have had them, ok for parking, but when your reversing your not always parking, such as reversing down a road or long driveway

I always alter them so they don't move when reverse is selected

The rear wioer does switch on when your reversing if the front wipers are on, as you need a clear rear view Thumbs Up Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I beleive these are things that are added with the Leather pack, as the mirrors are connected to the memory seats Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

England 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Stornoway Grey

Premium pack includes the following extras.

Premium body coloured bumpers and side sills.
Rear tailgate spoiler.
Tungsten door handles.
Front centre console storage compartment.
Napoli leather with unique stitching and perforation pattern.
Eight way electric drivers seat (Adds cushion & tilt) & 6 way electric passenger seat (Adds height adjustment)
19 inch 10-spoke Shaddow chrome Alloy wheels.

Well worth the extra money in my opinion as it'll increase saleability when it eventually comes to selling it.
Plus it looks fantastic.

Only if its listed as a separate model in glasses, if it just comes under the HSE it will make no difference in resale price like any other option apart from auto. It will make it more desirable for the buyer, so maybe easier to sell.

Chris.
