Instrument panel center LCD fading

Lately the text on the central LCD of instrument panel is starting to fade on my '07 FL2. At first the text was not that clear after starting the engine but it got back to normal shortly making me believe it was just the cold. Now it seems half faded all the time.

Is there a fix or do I need to get a new unit?

Does your trip mileage ever reset, or have problems seating the fob?

No to both.

The small LCD with milaege is crisp and clear.
The large one that dislpays temperature, warnings, terrain response info etc has faded.

Shot in the dark here could it be a loose connector on the back of it or maybe moisture in there ?
