Dont understand you - the Thule bike rack fits on the removable towbar in a tick and swings down on the pull of a lever to give access to the boot - easy peasy lemon squeezy and you can use ant bike you want not just a LR type that doesnt even have disc brakes  2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.
Stornoway Grey with Ebony Black Pleather, Clear Indicators, Body Side Mouldings etc.

I bet the LR bike would be fun to ride if you forget to tighten the locking screw

Where would you put the bike, I presume in the boot, but it looks like you still wouldn't be able to use the boot as the bike would take up all the space as its not the biggest of boots  Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

The bike folds and collapses into a bag and only measures about 15" across....fits in boot a treat with room for my sons bike and luggage.... took it all to the dealers to try it out in a demo's boot

As for disc brakes.... it's a bike doing max 10mph (next to my 6 year old son) not a ferrari

does anyone know how to take the rear bumper off? I'm trying to install the towing hitch, it comes with the instructions but it doesn't detail how to take the bumper off. Hope someone can help!!!

just read your other thread if you remove the black bumper guard on the top by prising it off you have to remove rear lights behind these you will find the screws and also down by the wheel archs I dont know if you have the genuine towbar but it should show you on them step by step if not go to the website I said in the other post and the instructions are there for the complete fitting including removal of the bumper 07my Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Baltic Blue,Privacy Glass,Ebony black leather,Land rover detachable towbar,S/S Side bars,Climair wind deflectors,Bramble Rash,
