Dipstick

Am I right in thinking the dipstick on the diesel engine should be a straight piece of flat steel the same as the dipstick on my D3 ? I just checked the oil on my daughters car and the dipstick is like a corkscrew ?? Shocked

Hi,

I have a FL2 diesel and yes the dipstick is spiralled, and all other FL2’s that I’ve ‘dipped’ are the same.

Laughing Yep, it's meant to be shaped like a corkscrew, some say it doesn't wipe the level when retracting it by being like it is. Confused
