The OEM rubber mats do a good job of covering the carpet completely. ______________________

I lined the carpet with that thin clear vinyl carpet protector you can get at any flooring store. I just stuffed it under where the plastic meets the carpet at the centre console. I then put the mats on top of the vinyl. It looks decent and keeps the carpet in showroom condition.

Surprised how effective L/R mats are. The only problem I find is disengaging the rubber mat from the retention hook without spreading half of the bottom field all over the carpet, only applies to drivers side. Its probably L/R making sure they dont do a Lexus in the litigation centre of the world. Freda managed without a hook, must p**** of those who could not scrag a set of rubbers out of the dealer, hook must stand proud and get in the way. still pining for my 3dr, no removeable hardtop, no drop glass tailgate, no roof rack, no pockets everywhere to stow all that man kit

Chicken George glad you posted reply because from the photo I was doubting whether a pair of muddy boots boots had ever crossed the sill treadstrips. I do like the way the doors cover the lower sills so that you do not get the back of your legs covered in clag getting in & out. still pining for my 3dr, no removeable hardtop, no drop glass tailgate, no roof rack, no pockets everywhere to stow all that man kit

In my opinion the LR rubber floor mats are good quality,

for example the cargo one compared to the old car is great,

real rubber, not so plastic and heavy objects dont slide around which was annoying before and was dangerous,

feet can't slip as well.

Sinks into the rubber and it can't move

well done Land Rover.

Not true-driver's mat does not cover left raised part of the floor, also not deep enough to keep water in there...

No. Taken on my drive last week. Car is only a week old though. Had to buy some decent mats though. I had the black ones on my first FL2 but they showed up the dirt. Beleve it or not the Alpaca mats don't some up the dirt, possibly because it just blends into the colour of the mats. Freelander 2 HSE Auto TD4. Privacy Glass. DAB Radio. Upper Chrome Mirror Covers.
