Hello all and sorry if my first post is a question (but I dont have an F2... yet)

In your esteemed opinion, would you consider buying a five year old F2 with 107k on the clock but with full main dealer service history?

I'm on a tight budget but the wife really wants an F2.

Provided that the condition and the price is right, then yes.

I would but only if it was from a main dealer so that you get a half decent warranty with it. If it was a private sale then no.

I second dave on the main dealer warranty, mind normally main dealers don't stock cars with such high mileage?

I bought mine off my dad with 98k on, have had a few niggles, but hoping to be sorted soon.

Ask if you can take it for an extended test drive, if it doesn't feel right don't buy it.

Is it a manual or an auto?

It's a manual and dealer sale (although by the looks of it an online dealer).

If it's a diesel, make sure the glow plugs are changed before you buy it!!! It's never too late to learn something new...

as per the previous posts, and a lot depends on the car, owner and how it has been driven/looked after over the last 5 years.

how many owners has it had ? and have you actually seen the car ?
