Hi guys, hoping you can advise on a problem I'm having with my FL2.

Three times in the last two weeks, when I have started the FL in the morning, I've had, what seems like, no turbo assistance when accelerating. The car begins to accelerate, up to about 1500 revs, then the power seems to disappear. Each time it has happened, it has been ok after the car has been restarted. Could this be something that's opened/closed when the engine is cold failing to operate or sticking (I'm thinking a solenoid or something?).

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. It's a 2008 GS model.

Read the diagnostic codes.
For sure there is an error stored.

I seem to have the problem sorted. My excellent local independent LR Specialist diagnosed the fault with his diagnostic equipment as the fuel temperature sensor which is situated on top of the fuel filter. The plug had lifted slightly and was not making proper contact with the socket.

He refitted the plug and it has not looked back since.

I had a similar problem last winter and it turned out to be the fuel temperature sensor. The fault would come on and go out. Acceleration was dangerously sluggish and top speed around 125 km/hour...

Funny you should say that you had it last winter. The first time mine did it was on the first morning that we had frost this year.
