Finally, I had my first drive with the new Freelander. This car is much bigger than I expected. I drove the td4 HSE version with manual gearbox. For comparison, I took a similar spin with the Range Rover Sport td6 HSE with auto gearbox. Wife thought the RRS felt smaller in cocpit and that the quality of the dash was inferior to the FL. Sitting on the passenger seat, she also felt the FL was sportier. Don't know what her perceptions were based on but I will definitely hold on to my order... 2007 Freelander 2 HSE i6
