Sainsburys win the day

After searching the comparison sites and also trying some sites and call centres individually, Sainsbury's won the day. LV, AXA (who I am with now) and LR themselves could not get close.

I get the following for £626 (£55 per month - £126 initial payment):

Guaranteed courtesy car
£250 vol excess
Lost & stolen key cover
Protected NCB - Now 4 years
Uninsured driver protection - This means if an uninsured driver hits me and it is their fault (proving that will be a pain no doubt), I can claim without losing my bonus or paying any excess.

The only thing that annoys me is that 2 years ago when I was 26 and only had 2 years NCB, the annual figure was £548 argued down to £495 with churchill Evil or Very Mad So I get older and earn 2 more years NCB and pay over £100 more.

Laughing

Insurance is a rip off though Doc. We are footing the bill for uninsured drivers and fraudulent claims. That uninsured driver protection is good peace of mind though Thumbs Up 60 plate SD4 XS, Stornoway Grey, Arm rest pack

Even LR can slip up. I've asked them to quote twice, both times when I bought a car. First time they were quite expensive, second time the details were taken by a gentleman in a far off sunny land and the quote came back with two pieces of incorrect information, which would have invalidated any claim I made. The man was clearly ticking boxes and didn't have a box for me (or indeed my missus).
