2013 Freelander 2 TD4_e GS Auto Sumatra Black

Thread lock?

Ive got a rattle, it comes from a bolt that keeps coming loose, heres the link http://www.freel2.com/forum/topic10380.html?highlight=rattle

The bolt behind the indicator keeps coming loose. One of the posts suggest using a thread lock compound on the bolt. Can anyone suggest a suitable thread lock compound? I was looking on the net and there seems to be a few, didnt know if some are better than others?

Ive always used Loctite threadlocker never had a problem.

I've always used Npinks when I want a thread locking

Loctite 243, easy to use and it won't come undone

Threadlock will be fine. Ive always used locktight threadlock on the model helicopters I fly as the the viberstion can lossen bits you dont want coming undone in mid flight if you know what I mean lol

Yep that's perfect. Always use the blue loctite - use the red one at your peril (chances are that you will break the bolt or strip the nut long before getting it off again). If you have a hard time getting a loctite'd nut off, use localised heat (heat gun / hairdryer).

How much do you use? Do you smear it all over the bolt, or in a line on the bolt?
