Unlike parallax, I didn't own a manual but have driven one and the auto is smoother and easier although the kickdown is a tad hefty if you stamp on the throttle.

I find the command shift really involving now I'm getting used to it, and compared to the old 3 gear autos, the LR2 unit changes down through the gears as you reduce speed so feels a lot like a manual to drive. Enjoying it so far, but interesting to hear from people who like the manual comparing experiences. Good luck with the negotiations, I'm enjoying the reports 2012 DISCOVERY 4 GS AUTO ORKNEY GREY 2012 FREELANDER 2 SD4 GS AUTO BALTIC BLUE - GONE 2011 FREELANDER 2 TD4 GS MANUAL BALI BLUE - GONE | ||
