I use Firefox as my browser and have just found a nice little add-on that spell checks your posts as you type them................. If you are running Mozilla Firefox then click on 'Tools' and 'Add-ons' and find the link to the English (it's really American!) Dictionary. It doesn't like the word Firefox though, that is coming up underlined each time! How can carbon have a footprint, it has no feet?

yep... Safari and most other apps can use the built into the OS dictionary and thesaurus Even underlines your mistake and a quick right click corrects it.

There is a British (proper) English dictionary available for Firefox

When you type you should see a red underline on miss spelt words. Either right click or control click on the word and a contextual menu will appear. In the list choose the right word or go to the bottom and select Spelling and then Spelling... you can choose your dictionary there.

Also you can select the spell as you type option. If this is off you wont see the red underline so just right click or control click to access the menu.
