Ive just bought a cheap power washer from screwfix. It comes with a detergent bottle lance thing. In the past ive always rinsed my car off, sponged down with suds, rinsed off and then dried the car down. I dont know if the detergent bottle is suitable for snow foam but is there any advantages to using snow foam? Are the power washer detergents that ive seen in halfords any good? My Freelander2 colour is Alaska white so tends to show some dirt abit.

Always enjoyed cleaning my cars "doc". A lot of time and effort agreed, but when I stand back and it looks immaculate, that's time well spent. Yes, I'm not normal!! |

I like to clean my own cars, maybe im tight (use my money for a couple of pints in the bowling club!) but I do like to stand back and look at the car nice and clean. Ive seen some bubble gum snow foam on ebay. It says it can be used with a pressure washer or in a bucket. I might get it then if it doesnt work with my power washer I can use it in the bucket. |

I always use magifoam first followed by Zymol shampoo which gives excellent results. We are living in the Netherlands for a couple of months while I am working on a project and after three weeks here I decided to give the car a wash with Halfords own shampoo. I am now looking for a good car wash to get rid of all the marks it has left on the paintwork. Yes I know I was stupid but it was in Euros so that is my excuse. I have been reading all the posts about how bad the FL2 has been performing abroad and I was beginning to think I picked the wrong car to bring over but "touch wood" it has been fine. |

I bought the 'magifoam' and the official lance from the Australian distributor (http://www.carcareproducts.com.au/product/...snow_foam_) but I was very disappointed that I ended up with 'water marks' all over the car and windows for the first time ever, even though I did the usual chamois dry and polish afterwards. I take it this isn't a normal outcome of using magifoam? The bottle they supplied had no Autobrite markings on their, perhaps I should send in a complaint and CC Autobrite in the UK. Any proven way to remove the water marks on subsequent washes? Cheers, Whytey 1st time FL2 owner. 2007 SE i6 in Tambora Flame. |

Magifoam is a prewash to remove the surface dirt to avoid scratches. Use a good shampoo after the prewash and you should get good results. |
