Tigger,
Your Collie is somewhat very special, and also beautiful.
Very few Collies behave so well, dunno how you do it Bow down

Stands up for himself though if I remember from the bar in Golant Laughing Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

Thanks a lot Greg! Thumbs Up

The fun bit is training them to stay in the boot with the week's shopping (fresh meat and all) and leaving them alone without them touching a thing! Very Happy

In 18 years we've lost only 1 yogurt! Mind you, Pip (Ben's predecessor) was particularly found of yogurt and it did fall on him and the lid split open in the process, so I'll let him off that one Laughing

We've just lost one brand new sweater, Lord knows how many shoelaces, three pairs of shoes, two pairs of trousers, one Otterman, two shirts and several holes in the front lawn.
All due to the one on the left Big Cry
He's greeeaaat!

Grand looking dog you have there Thumbs Up

Twig is a little smaller I'd say from memory. What I am concerned about is that she's used to riding on a pick-up through country lanes and over the hills south shore Loch Tay, and not on busy A roads in the inside of a restricted load space. Plus we do not have an FL2 load space protection guard to stop things from flying into the passenger space in the event of an emergency stop.

The safety of all occupants is my priority - human and cannine - and so if I take on the responsibility of touring with Twig then it must be with a dog cage for her.

Thanks Thumbs Up

You're right to take a cage of course; Ben and the others before him have needed training from a pup to do what they do.

Have a great holiday and enjoy TWIG's company. I couldn't imagine going on holiday without at least one Border Collie with us now!

Our 11 month old Australian Shepherd, Ruby, is coming on nicely and is very well behaved.

She understands EVERY word I say but, like a child, she has "selective" hearing. Whistle

Enough salivating over canines. Heaven knows what you lot are like during the womens' Olympic gymnastics final Rolling Eyes

Dog cages - the lending of - Newcastle to Loch Tay - October - is the prime focus of this thread. Thanks.

To-date I have received 2 kind offers of a cage from FreeL2 members to which I have responded. Those offers are most welcome and are in my "logistics" in-tray. Thumbs Up

However, they both entail a substantial time/distance diversion from our very tight schedule and therefore the request for help to secure a more convenient solution is still open. If anyone feels they can be of assistance please do make contact via a PM. Smile

Thank You.
