My poor old FR2 developed a light rattle behind the dash 200 miles after the service, when i washed it today I removed the battery cover and found the metal deflector behind the BBUS unit rattling !
It got really bad driving home from Gatwick then i remembered that i had a replacement BBUS unit under warranty and sure enough it was that !
So chuffed that was all it was as it sounded awful and one of those things that would take forever to find !

I have attached a pic in-case it can hep anyone else, unless someone tells me the black deflector on theirs isnt bent at the forward angle flapping around in the wind ? which wouldn't surprise me !

lets just see whether it can get me to a funeral and back on Tuesday without something occurring ! its only got to do 400 miles so here's hoping !

I was looking for a rattle today. My deflector unit will move when i poke it with my finger, should it do that? If it should not move how do i secure it?

They do flap about, definatley not rigid. I just bent mine and put some foam under it to stop it buzzing.
Very carp design for premium vehicle.
