Creaking Seats!!

As the title states, I've got a problem with my seats creaking. The passenger seat has done it for ages, but only when carrying a person of a larger build Whistle The driver's seat does it now (no comments required about my weight Very Happy ). I've tried greasing the seat rails, but they still creak and it drives me insane Twisted Evil

Any ideas Question Question Gone - TD4 XS Auto, Sumatra Black, Mud flaps and side strips, clear indicators, private plate, privacy glass

Sensible reply time:

even with my slight build (20 stone! and go to the gym 4 times a week Cool )

I've had similar creaking in my non LR cars but not in my 2007 FL2

in my cases it was between the fabric and the metal of the seat structure which needed taking off and (if I remember correctly!) putting some nice soft material between said parts of the seat.

Don't kn ow whether that will help - the exercise is definitely a good option though Thumbs Up especially if there is a pub at the end of it..... 2002 Honda VFR800

If it is still under warranty then the dealer should sort it. I had a Volvo S40 with that problem and got the creaking sorted under warranty. 2013 RR Evoque Pure Tech

The passenger seat was looked at under warranty and it seemed to disappear for a while, but has come back. I'll have to have another look, but there's no obvious solution. Thanks for responses Thumbs Up Gone - TD4 XS Auto, Sumatra Black, Mud flaps and side strips, clear indicators, private plate, privacy glass

Creaking, could silicone spray applied prevent it? If the creaking surfaces are free to move then maybe they will do it quietly, just a thought.

My cousin got that problem in his Reliant Robin, the weight and the creak, his seat ended up going through the floor of the car!
