improving radio reception?

Hi All
My old Disco 2 had great FM radio reception, but, I am very disappointed with the FM radio reception in my FL2 (2007 TD4S with standard lo-line radio).
Can anyone suggest or recommend any kind of antenna signal booster or something clever like that? Bow down

Hi Ade, hope your well, bit warmer in the 90 now Laughing
Driving up the M4 today, mine was dreadful, constant hiss and the effect that it isn't quite in tune?
Only 7 months old so dealer will be getting a visit, keep forgetting but this has reminded me.
I also get a lot of crosstalk from what sound like CB radio or similar.

Hi Paul, fine thanks, yeah the 90 is still going well. I had the front vents open for my natural AC as I cruised up the M3 to Richmond and back today.

I live near Farnborough in Hampshire (about 30 miles out of London) and like to listen to Capital Radio coming from London. In my Disco 2 the reception was great and there was no break up or loss of signal. In the FL2 its appalling and I can't listen to it as it fades in and out all the time.

Hoping someone knows about some form of signal booster or even an external antenna that improves FM radio reception.
Cheers
Ade

I have no complaints with the reception so tend to think you may have a problem with the antenna, is there any visible damage to it on the rear side windows and is it plugged in and not just operating off the lead.

Good idea, I'll investigate.
The glass mounted wire filament looks fine, I assume it's just the driver's (right hand side) side on a S model, i.e. the left hand side is for DAB only.
