Think i'd be tempted to take the car back to whoever left the washer tube off. Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice. |

It's a long story but in short......it took the garage in question 1 day to diagnose a faulty slave which will need a new clutch, fair enough. 3 days later (due collection day) I got told it needed a new DM flywheel, I sighed...agreed and they gave me a price. 15 minutes later I got another call saying 'sorry, quoted you the wrong price, the correct one is a lot dearer and we can't get until next week' Soo I told them i'd get one locally myself, which I did and took it in. Same day I collected the car and drove away only to find the steering wheel askew and noticed the driver side wheel arch lining hanging down. Took it back and approx' 1 1/2 hrs later it was 'fixed' Earlier tonight I noticed the washers weren't working properly...........I just simply can't be arsed to go back to them if I can fix it myself. (I had to reset the 'one touch' windows as well which I thought they might of known would need doing) It's rare to find a good reliable garage, on a positive note i've just discovered another I now know to avoid ![]() |

I took the headlight off and it's a simple task to push it back on, nice and easy. While doing this I had to refit the reservoir cap for the clutch/brake fluid as it was left off and I found a strange looking piece of hose that the garage are denying all knowledge of sat in the wiper tray.....it sort of beggars belief ![]() I have added a Pic' in my gallery of the offending hose, if anyone can confirm it belongs on my car somewhere, (or not), I would much appreciate it ![]() ![]() |

BossBob.......yes it was a battery breather hose, thankfully easy to relocate and pointed out by a work colleague just prior to me going back to the garage.

Thanks Dunk, I hope mine is that easy. I have only just noticed that my nearside headlamp washer is not working. I had a new nearside wing and headlamp fitted a couple of weeks ago (don't ask, it's too embarrasing) and everything seemed OK then. Guess I will have to remove the headlamp and have a look to see if it has come adrift. I'm certainly not going to travel the 260 miles to Preston to ask the bodyshop to have a look at it! The car sailed through its MOT last week so I guess headlamp washers are not part of the test. |

just a point , you do realise the washers dont both work together left and right work alternately, activating each side after every 10 washes of the windscreen I think At work |

Yes, thanks CG. It's actually every 5 screen washes unless 10 minutes have elapsed then it fires up again at next screen wash. I was keeping a good eye on both sides but only the offside was washing. |
