I hate tinted windows and think they look really awful so I had mine done too, they use a stick on film on the inside surface, I had mine done to hide whats in the back too, tools, not the misses! |

It's a tinted film which can be peeled off.

As an OEM fitment, it really has some advantages: it keeps the inside of the car much cooler in the sun (I often have a dog with me, so i will do whatever is necessary to keep him cool), my wife's skin has a serious intolerance to the sun, so it helps her and it keeps prying eyes away from luggage. I even prefer the look, as it's no longer possible to see just how colossal the blanked out areas of glass are; the rear window looks particularly silly.

Agree with Tigger OEM is better as you can see the window dots on the film. It is UV blocking though and in my fitters case, guarenteed against scratching or peeling for as long as you own the car |

Tigger is correct, last year I had the misfortune to reverse onto a tractor bale spike in a farm yard and the tinting film held the shattered rear window together for 5 days until new glass could be delivered. Tony |

Had 2 FL's tinted by specialist. LR dealer would not believe it was film, job was so well done. All windows including front doors £180. I supplied special film for the 2 front door glass as advised by dermatology consultant.
