Just a few days a FR2 owner and noticed a gentle zzzzzz really mild coming out of the engine after I stop the car. I have noticed it when its really quiet.

Can anyone explain this. This should be normal ? Happy Landing 2 )

Would you not call it a buzzing ?

When our's is parked and the engine is turned off but the
car is not locked it some times buzzers ?????

yea something like that. Its really difficult to explain but yes you are right now that you said that the car is still unlocked Happy Landing 2 )

I belive its the throtle servo resetting its self.(or something like that ).

Many of you may say that a Diesel engine does not have a throttle but it does need one when the EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) calls for more flow than will occour naturally, i.e. if the inlet manifold pressure is higher (due to boost pressure) than the pressure in the exhaust manifold (due to backpressure in the turbine and exhaust system) then EGR cannot flow from exhuast to inlet and hence into the engine; under these conditions, the inlet throttle is closed to lower the inlet manifold pressure until the required flow is achieved.

It's all about emission control (especially NOx) and does no affect full power operation.

Incidentally, my contact was involved in the pre-production durability of FL2 and reported that they ran 15 cars for a total of almost 2 million miles and had no roadside breakdowns. The only changes made by LR during the trials were software upgrades.

Perhaps it's just a buzzer that sounds for a little while after we switch the engine off - to make us wonder what the sound is  2002 Honda VFR800
