Scotland 2012 Freelander 2 SD4 Dynamic Auto Indus Silver

When we discussed this with our local LR dealer, they install "Tracker". When we discussed the RAC's "trackstar" system with one of their reps in the high street, he hadn't a clue what we were talking about. I guess RAC forgot to brief them on their anti-theft devices.
Having read a bit about this recently on the web, some systems use radio comms, some use GPS and some a combination of both. Autoexpress did a quick review of them last year.
GPS alone may not work if the vehicle is parked somewhere shaded (or boxed up ready for export) before it is reported as missing, then their system won't find it.
Prices vary depneding on what level of protection you want but each manufacturer seems to charge much the same for similar types of systems and subscription. Out with the old (2007 SE)
In with the new (2012 Dynamic with everything). Now also gone.
