Sounds like a nasty experience. As you rightly point out, the hook is there (on the drivers side at least) to stop the mat slipping forward and should always be in place. I have obtained some spare hooks to use on the passenger side and rear mats as these also slip around - not fitted these yet as there is no actual hole in the mat but shouldn't be too much of a problem. At least keeping the mats in place helps keep the almond carpet clean! 2010 HSE TD4 auto, Biscay Blue, Almond Leather, facelift front and rear, detachable towbar, front & rear mudflaps, bib spoilers, clear high level brake light, smooth rear wiper, colour coded door handles.

of course they may just say you shouldn't have been accelerating that hard in the first place - why did you press the peddle to the floor ![]() 2002 Toyota Celica 140 Silver (mid life crisis - again!) 2007 FL2 GS Manual Army Reconnaissance Green + freel2.com sticker ![]() 2004 Toyota Celica 140 Black - Gone 2000 Toyota Celica 140 Silver - Gone 1998 Toyota Celica ST Pearl Green - Gone 1996 Nissan Primera 1.6 - Gone 1994 Rover Montego 1.6 Auto - Gone |

To be honest there was no panic, just a moment of why isn't the accelerator still touching my shoe, and a Oh the mats got it stuck down
