Hi all has anyone bought one of those armrests off fleebay, if so are they any good
I am tempted but not sure if they are worth it. One on eBay for £45 or new for £80

Please help me decide  2013 B&W edition black of course!

yes they are good, sold mine to a forum member he likes it too, ideal elbow/gearstick configuration, conflicts with handbrake slightly but not a deal breaker At work

Concur  MY 09 GS manual in Lago Grey, Wood Co arm rest and side bumper strips - now sold.

There are some pics in my gallery showing the armrest from diferent positions.
Simple to fit, seemed a little feeble when first fitted and I was a little concerned. However, in practice it is absolutely fine and fit for purpose.

Another area a updated Freelander could improve upon, bigger central armrest/cubby box like a Ranger Rover.

is the S in RRS not for substitute? because its not a real one

ken, i was kinda thinking the same thing but then decided to get one. i bought mine from fleabay and it arrived last week. £83 plus £10 from germany. Its ideal, elbow hasnt left it since.

my armrest had a wooden lower box with a pleather covering, the brit part ones seem to have a cheaper looking plastic box, is this correct?

Also the rest comes with a furry black sticker to line out the interior base, I used the rubber pad from the cubby under the box for this job then used the furry sticky stuff as a buffer to stop the seatbelt clasps from squeaking against the leather of the seat.
Range Rover copied my idea and fitted furry seatbelt clasps as standard on the RRS  At work

Yes Britpart is a plastic (ABS) box, as do the latest WoodCo versions, they are now ABS.
You must have had a very early one.

As for S=Special, in your case you could be right
