Netherlands 2013 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Baltic Blue
No power after service

Last week after the 40k km service the engine lost it's power. Big Cry
It's a manuel diesel my2010.
In first and second gear no problems.
In 3,4,5,6 gear there is no power and it takes ages to speed from 80 km/h to 120.

There are no signs on the boardcomputer.
Called the dealer, they told me to bring it back, but because of my work it will be in two weeks time.
Any advice????

The only thing you could try, before taking it to the dealer, is a "Hard" reset - by disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes or so, then reconnecting it. This will reset quite a few of the systems in the car, and just might reset the reason why (maybe a momentary spurious sensor input) it is low on power.
This is what Land Rover Assistance did to mine when it had a problem. The guy said that disconnecting the battery worked on most cars for around half the problems that they get called out to!!
As an unrelated point, I had an oil level/temperature warning come on in my wifes Audi last week. I have a fault code reader, fortunately and this showed that the fault was triggered by the sensor (in the sump), but was then "remembered" by the information display unit in the dashboard. I deleted the memory in the display and the "fault" has not returned. I think it was a momentary spurious signal generated by the sensor that was then locked into the display. Don`t drive faster than your angel can fly!

If a clip or hose has become loose or parted in the turbo circuit it will be a flat as a fart, check all the hoses are fitted and tight and have no splits in them

When you start the engine, does it take longer too start than it did before ??? If so, does it take longer to rev up at a stand still as if it were holding back for a second or too ???? If the awnser is yes to these questions then there is air in the diesel filter. A common mistake when bleeding the sytem after a filter change.
Most times this will clear itself but if not after a few miles then the filter will need re bleeding. Thumbs Up

It was a clip in a hose of the turbo circuit, blocking the hose.Mona Geeza, Bow down Problem solved Very Happy

I think I may have this problem.

Took car for service, main Landy dealer in Helsinki, last week and now the turbo does not seem to be working.

Have arranged to take it back tomorrow morning and see if they can fix it.

Will suggest that they check the clips/hoses and look at the possibility of air in the filter.

I wondered whether there is a software turbo on/off switch?

Problem sorted after 4 hours.

Turned out to be an electrical connector that hadn't been pushed fully together.

They mentioned a connector near/to do with the Lambda sensor.

There is apparently an improved redesigned crankcase breather to sort out problems when the outside air temperature becomes really cold - the car needs to go for fitting when they get one from LR (hopefully at no cost) - and they had to determine the modification state of my engine (it has already been modified once).

They may have disturbed the connector whilst doing that.

Interestingly, they seemed to have fixed the 5th/6th gear lever "floppiness" (which I was going to do myself - there's a thread about it) but I suspect they went around redoing as many connectors as they could until they found one which fixed the turbo problem.

Full marks to them in my opinion.

I suspect they removed the turbo hose to get at the oil filter and didn't refit it correctly.
