The M66EHA50 manual transmission is a 6 speed unit manufactured by Getrag-Ford in Cologne, Germany.

My 2010 model year manual has a very smooth gearbox. (Past) Freelander 2 HSE 2010 MY In Rimini Red.

My 2007 GS has never cluncked. Always thought it was the best gearchange I've used. |

cannot find anything on TOPix to suggest something was changed, my 2006 SE is a bit clunky.

The first Freelander 2 I had which I traded in at the beginning of the year had become notchy in the gear change, especially in a morning until the oil was warm you had to sort of ease the syncros in. |

I greased the cables on mine and transformed the gearbox, that was after many attempts to grease the cabin end of the cable , it seems to be the box end, be sure to get the grease under the rubber cable sleaves. I used silicon grease I think? At work |

I know what you say CG but it felt like lazy syncros, it felt fine when it was warmed up. |
