Defrosters on back side windows doesn't work... It's normal?

Hi all,
Just recently got my new FL2 TD4 Automatic and what can I say... it's a gem!

1000 miles and no problems yet Bow down

Only intriguing thing is that the side windows at the back got defrosters built in them, but they doesn't seem to work. Is this related to the trim (I got the XS) or not taking the winter/cold climate option?

If its normal, since they are already there, is there a way I can hook them up myelf?

Cheers,
CK

Hi - they are not defrosters.

On the right hand side the elements act as an aerial (for the radio) - and the other side is for TV reception.

Furthermore, the "vents" below the rear side windows are actually mounting pods for speakers - i.e nothing to do with the air system.

Hope that helps Thumbs Up

Hi ck, welcome. I think what you refer at are the radio antena and optional tv antenna. the only defrosters are on the back window and on the front windscreen if you have the winter pack. Hope this helps...

Jimmy, the vents below the rr windows are actually vents to allow the free flow of air through the vehicle and out to atmophere through further vents located behind the rr bumpers ears. Without these the the Hevac would not work very well, remember you are blowing air into the cabin and it must go somewhere. The doors would not shut without a very good heave if windows shut because you are effectivley compressing the air in cabin, after all it is sealed to keep the elements out.
All, keep enjoying your F/L2 as much as I am still pining for my 3dr, no removeable hardtop, no drop glass tailgate, no roof rack, no pockets everywhere to stow all that man kit
