I have applied the last coat of polish to my beloved FL2 today and after several months of delaying tactics, am finally being forced into a Beemer next week. (Fortunately just for the next 12 months)

I have had three years and 89,300 miles of driving pleasure that I had not experienced the like of before, being a previously LR 4X4 virgin.

My sincere thanks to everyone on this forum that indulged the queries and questions that I posted. Your info was often invaluable and amusing .
Reading through some of the problems with your cars it seems that I have been very lucky with mine, as save for a replacement diff at 75k I have been virtually trouble free and would certainly consider LR as a future model choice.

I know that one of the biggest issues on freel2.com is the sordid topic of colour but after spending the afternoon buffing up my Sumatra Black paintwork with the purple/gold/green/??? fleck I am still convinced that I made the right choice.

Anyway, good luck to you all. Who knows maybe a MY2012/13 will be on the cards next year and I could be back  FL2 TD4 XS Santorini

Back to a company car from self lease. My 3 year personal contract is up and our company has changed it's car policy.
It's not really a downgrade as I will be driving a 520 Business Edition with quite a few toys. Just not what I would have chosen.
Previous incumbent has been made redundant - So there but for the grace and all that.........

P11D value is actually £5k more than my current FL2 so although I am not looking forward to the tax implication, I have had a nice rise to compensate

It is due to be returned next March, however with the poor economical climate hitting the building sector more than most, I could end up with a Kia next time  FL2 TD4 XS Santorini

Very nice, I've had 3 bmw's and they are pretty much the best at what they do, just like landrover are with 4x4's.
You will enjoy it although as nice as they are to drive it's true what they say about snow! I spent many winters stuck in until I changed to landrover!

For Alex; Jack Russell cross - We got her last year from the local rescue centre just before I spent a couple of weeks in hospital with Viral Pneumonia. My wife spent quite a lot of time back and forth to see me so the dog had to go back. Shame really but best for the dog as I spent months recouperating and walkies was not possible.
